A leaking shower tray or bathtub can be an annoying hassle, so it’s important to have a completely waterproof seal around them to prevent it from happening. The wedi Tools Bath & Shower Sealing Tape Set is the perfect solution to creating a 100% watertight seal around all types of baths and shower trays. It works well with acrylic, steel or stone cast resin materials, so is perfectly fine with most common bathing units. Consisting of a TPE coated polypropylene fleece with 15mm wide butyl strip, it’s 3.6m long, ensuring you can cover most areas with one set. It should be applied in a clean and dry environment by connecting the membrane to the shower tray or bath via the butyl strip. Then use a separately supplied wedi adhesive to seal it to the wall. If you have a particularly powerful shower or water flow, bear in mind that this sealing tape is only resistant to 1.5 bar of direct water pressure.
